Parents and Early Childhood Practitioners are Expected to Benefit From a Parenting Workshop This Week
A number of parents and Early Childhood practitioners are expected to benefit from a Parenting Workshop this week.
A release from the Ministry of Education says the workshop, dubbed "Good Touch Bad Touch", will focus on what constitutes good and bad touches, as well as good and bad secrets.
The workshop offers support to the “Break the Silence Campaign”, geared at heightening awareness of the many Child Abuse issues that confront children on a daily basis.
"Good Touch Bad Touch" was conceptualized by the Early Childhood Department in the Ministry of Education and is being sponsored by the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States Secretariat, with technical support from UNICEF.
This week’s workshop will take place tomorrow at the VINSAVE Conference Room, beginning at 8:30a.m.
The objectives of this workshop are to:
Promote awareness about the long term impact of Child Abuse;
Provide current information about the protection of small children;
Enhance parenting skills in the field of positive child rearing.
