The Division of Adult and Continuing Education hosts Business Development Workshop

The Division of Adult and Continuing Education is hosting a Business Development Workshop at the Georgetown Secondary School to target current and prospective entrepreneurs from Georgetown and surrounding areas.

The three-day workshop, which began on Monday 4th February, is targeting graduates from other skills programs such as Sewing, Home Making and Bamboo Craft.

Business Skills Instructor, Desrie Richards, said that the subject areas to be covered include: Fundamental Business Concepts, The Basics of Profit Making, Costing and Pricing, Why Businesses Fail.  Sources of Credit, Basic Book-Keeping and the Importance of Record Keeping, along with customer Service/Civics.  

She said that this workshop will herald the continuation of a series of workshops that commenced in June 2012 that will eventually cover all nine zones in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Ms. Richards also said that she is confident that these entrepreneurial workshops will contribute positively in sensitizing the business-minded community to the importance and relevance of Entrepreneurial Education for adult learners.

Four Primary Schools scheduled to make their presentations at PRISPAF

Four primary schools will make their presentations at the Primary School Performing Arts festival (PRISPAF), which begins on Tuesday 5th February.

The four schools are the Kingstown Preparatory School, the C. W. Prescod Primary, the Sunny Vale Primary, and the School for Children with Special Needs.
